Slingbox is a service that lets you stream content from your TV (via your Slingbox machine), to the internet, including your mobile phone. Now, it has recently launched a video portal (similar to Hulu.com) where you can watch videos from its various content partners including CBS, Warner Bros, Sony, MGM, NHL, Reuters, Associated Press, and must more. You don’t need a Slingbox for this feature.
The best feature yet is that you can now actually watch your live TV content from your Slingbox directly from your browser. Traditionally, you had to download a local application to do this. However, this feature doesn’t work immediately from the browser as you must install a local browser plug-in. So, if you don’t have administrator rights (say on your work machine), you won’t be able to watch TV from your browser. Mac support is coming in the future.
