Mozilla has just made alpha 2 available for its mobile browser dubbed Fennec. The new release makes the browser a lot more useable, stable, and includes performance enhancements, and is generally a big improvement from the previous release. The new release also has new security enhancements including a password manager. Mozilla developer Stuart Parmenter said “we’ve made major strides improving startup performance, panning and zooming performance, and responsiveness while pages are loading.” Fennec currently only runs on the Nokia N810 tablet PCs for now, though more support should come in the coming months including for Blackberry devices.
