geni Geni Raises $5M in New Series C RoundSocial networking site Geni has raised $5 million in a new Series C VC round by The Founders Fund and Charles River Ventures. The company to date has raised about $11.5 million in VC funding. Over the last year, Geni seems to have experienced very strong growth in users, hitting about 500,000 unique U.S. visitors in Dec 2008 (up 308.8% YoY), according to Compete.
