A new report published by ClickForensics indicates click fraud is on the rise. The report claims 16.3% of click fraud was recorded in Q1 2008, the highest ever recorded by the company. The company also says that 30% of flick fraud is committed by online bots. Now, I’m sure the numbers will be different depending on how the research is obtained, the sample size and so on, but it is worth pointing out that click fraud is a problem that needs to be addressed. Companies are loosing money needlessly by using Google AdWords and other advertising networks including Yahoo Publishers sometimes at the hands of competitors who artificially increase competitors costs. Interesting figures, nevertheless. Via
