FedEx has announced it will cut up to 900 jobs from about 130 facilities in the U.S. FedEx is citing significantly slowing demand for its services amid weakening sales and lower consumer spending which are reducing the need for companies to ship freight. FedEx says employees will have the option of returning to the company when demand picks up again, which will probably be at least a year from now. No closing cost information related to the job cuts is currently available.
