Reports indicate that live TV will launch on the iPhone by April 2009. PacketVideo, a digital video company, says it has closed a deal with a large carrier (declined to say which one) to bring its app to the iPhone, which will effectively bring live television programming to the iPhone. If this is true, it will likely be a North American launch with AT&T as AT&T is the exclusive iPhone provider. AT&T already offers live TV on other handsets through its MobiTV and Flo TV (Qualcomm) services.
