iPhone 3.0 Round Up, Screenshots, Features

The iPhone OS 3.0 will be available this summer as a free upgrade to iPhone 3G and the 1st Generation iPhone owners. iPod touch users will have to pay $9.95 for the upgrade.

The Dev-Team has announced they have already jailbreaked the new iPhone 3.0 OS.

- BGR noticed a setting “Find My iPhone”, it seems this will be Apple’s new security feature to help people find their lost iPhone’s via the internet and GPS.

- Shake-to-shuffle in iTunes
- A2DP Stereo Bluetooth support (not supported on first generation iPhone)

- Cut, copy, paste, undo (copied text remains available after you repower your phone)
- Stocks widget updated with news headlines and more detailed market information
- Push notifications for Gmail email

- App Store subscriptions (such as magazines)

- Turn-by-turn directions was previously banned in the SDK, but has now been lifted to allow developers to bring their own apps to the market, helping eliminate patent issues for Apple. – Telenav says they are looking forward to the new SDK via Twitter post.
