New iPhone 3 rumors a day ahead of WWDC

Update: Engadget is reporting live from the event. See the live-blog for complete coverage.

There are more next-generation iPhone feature rumors swirling now just one day ahead of WWDC, where it is expected Apple will unveil the new iPhone.

It is rumored the new iPhone will be slimmer, more sleek, and include a larger screen (16:9) that would take up most of the space of the phone. The only problem with this rumor is that the thousands of iPhone apps that are not based on that resolution would need to be altered.

We can now also confirm that the new iPhone 3 will have complete support for geo-location services, including support within Safari. This means various apps such as Google’s location sharing app Google Latitude will now work on the iPhone. A new enhanced Google Maps iPhone version will also be released.

Another apparent leak published by iPhoneClub indicates five codename iPhone models labeled “iPhone 2009″ in a T-Mobile Netherlands database.

The codenames published includes:
Apple – iPhone 2009 (NTB)
Apple – iPhone 2009 16 GB BK (including WT)
Apple – iPhone 2009 32 GB BK (including WT)

Note:
BK is denoted for black, WT is for white.

The Financial Times today confirmed our earlier report that Apple would release a cheaper version of the iPhone at WWDC, citing sources familiar with the matter. They say Apple will introduce either a $149 iPhone or a $99 iPhone. The cheapest iPhone currently available from AT&T is priced at $199 with a term.

The Guardian on Friday noted the next-generation iPhone would also work as a modem. The previous versions did have support to function as a modem, but the feature was blocked by the mobile operators. It is unclear if the operators will continue to block the function.

One of the most interesting and much await rumored features is video chat. It is believed the new iPhone will have a front facing camera for chat via a mobile version of Apple’s iChat app.

Other iPhone 3 feature rumors that we have already reported include a 3.2MP camera, WiFi 802.11n, longer battery life, improved and larger OLED display, up to 32 GB storage, digital compass, among other features.

Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone with complete details tomorrow at WWDC 2009.

    I CAN'T WAIT.

I have been using an online version of the iPhone and I really like the iPhone interface so much that I am going to get one. But I figured I better wait till the new one came out.

    Can't wait till tomorrow!

No, Interactive iPhone is the name of the new iPhone.

So whoever has that domain name is probably going to get a big check or be sued by Apple.

I am absolutely loving the new iPhone that came out. I just had to purchase it the day it came out and love every bit of it. I actually bought that instead of the Cubic Zirconia I was going to buy. Tough choice.

Colon cancer is one of the leading causes of death. Irrespective of family history, everyone is exposed to the risk. About 90% of colon cancer cases begin from non-cancerous tumors, polyps, which could form in the large bowel. Screening with a colonoscopy will painlessly remove any polyps hence almost entirely reducing your risk of developing the horrible disease. The good news is that about 90% of colon cancer cases are preventable through a simple (yes, simple) colonoscopy.
