T-Mobile announces second Android phone, comes with Geodelic location app

T-Mobile today confirmed the company will offer its second Google Android powered handset, the myTouch 3G (the HTC Magic). T-Mobile will begin to take pre-orders starting July 8, the device should be available in stores by early August. The company did not offer a firm availability date. The myTouch 3G will be priced at $199 with a new two-year term.

The device offers a 3.2MP camera, 3.2-inch display, WiFi, 4GB preinstalled memory, out of the box support for Google apps such as Google Maps, Picassa, YouTube, among other apps from Google.

The myTouch 3G will also come pre-installed with a new app from Geodelic that helps you find information

on your handset based on your preferences and behavior it picks up. Geodelic can “discover locations in your vicinity, and aggregate all the information related to where you are and what you’re looking for.”

The app basically shows you information it thinks is useful based on your location. For example, if you are in a grocery store, the app can provide you with recipes, and even a calorie counter. If you are in a coffee shop in Manhattan, the app shows you New York Times content as it assumes you have some free time. If you’re at a movie theater, it will return movie listings and times…if  you’re at the airport, it’ll show you flight times, again, all based on your location.

Colon cancer is one of the leading causes of death. Irrespective of family history, everyone is exposed to the risk. About 90% of colon cancer cases begin from non-cancerous tumors, polyps, which could form in the large bowel. Screening with a colonoscopy will painlessly remove any polyps hence almost entirely reducing your risk of developing the horrible disease. The good news is that about 90% of colon cancer cases are preventable through a simple (yes, simple) colonoscopy.
