Time Inc. has announced today that it would buy StyleFeeder, an online shopping recommendation engine. StyleFeeder aggregates apparel information from thousands of online retailers and has a catalog of more than 14-million products in its database.
StyleFeeder will become part of the Time InStyle division.
Time President of Digital Fran Hauser said today in a statement, “This is a strategic step in building on our digital success,” as “StyleFeeder’s e-commerce technology will open the door to new transactional revenue streams and give the InStyle community an experience they can’t find anywhere else online.”
Time failed to disclose the terms of the deal, though it is surely in the millions.
