Torrent filing sharing site ThePirateBay.com founders Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm, Carol Lundstrom, Peter Sunde, have all just been found guilty by a Swedish district court today for “assisting in making copyright content available.” All have been handed down one-year jail sentences. They have also been ordered to pay $3.6 million in damages to the film owners. They will all appeal the decision. The verdict will likely not have any impact on other Torrent trackers or file sharing generally.
