Lead Mozilla Fennec developer Brad Lassey has just done an interview with WMExperts and revealed some new information on new features coming from Mozilla’s mobile Fennec browser. One of the new key features, dubbed Weave, brings the ability to sync your opened tabs with your desktop pc, allowing you to easily continue research and doing what you were doing on your PC on your mobile. Fennec will also include the third party add-on support found on Firefox, developers will be able to easily port their add-ons for use on Fennec. The Fennec beta will be coming by this summer.

Mozilla has updated their Wiki that reveals Mozilla’s mobile browser Fennec will become available on the Windows Mobile powered HTC Touch Pro. This release likely marks further upcoming support for more Windows Mobile handsets. Fennec currently only supports the Nokia N810 tablet PC. The Windows Mobile version will become available in the first week of Feb.

Mozilla has just made alpha 2 available for its mobile browser dubbed Fennec. The new release makes the browser a lot more useable, stable, and includes performance enhancements, and is generally a big improvement from the previous release. The new release also has new security enhancements including a password manager. Mozilla developer Stuart Parmenter said “we’ve made major strides improving startup performance, panning and zooming performance, and responsiveness while pages are loading.” Fennec currently only runs on the Nokia N810 tablet PCs for now, though more support should come in the coming months including for Blackberry devices.
