AT&T was previously scheduled to roll out MMS functionality for AT&T customers in the United States by September 25 as reported, but it now seems the feature is being rolled out early and it is actually already working for many customers.
Some users were previously able to use MMS during the iPhone 3.1 OS beta for a short time, but the service now seems to be rolling out to the masses a couple of weeks early.
AT&T previously noted bandwidth concerns over the main reason for disabling the feature.
It is unclear where the feature is firstly being enabled; we are unable to confirm that the feature is working but others are claiming the service works perfectly fine - either way, the feature will be rolled out by September 25.
The early roll-out could simply be temporary or a limited release while AT&T tests the feature.

As evident from the updated Palm website, the Palm Pre is set to support out of the box support for tether. So, that means you can easily pair your Palm Pre with your laptop and stay connected at 3G speeds. MMS is also confirmed on the Palm Pre.

Mogreet.com was founded in 2006 in Venice Beach, CA and is a video messaging start-up that has just raised $5 M in VC series B funding led by existing investor Draper Fisher Jurvetson Frontier. Users can send mogreets (Mobile Greeting) via an MMS or as an attachment in a text message. It costs users about $0.49 to $0.99 per message sent. TechCrunch has 200 invities for readers to try the service for free. Mogreet has developed distribution deals with Paramount and other studios to distribute content. AT&T, Verizon and Sprint (more carriers will probably be supported) so that users can be charged directly on their monthly bill instead of having to pay by credit card. However, both the iPhone and Gphone offer the ability to send video media, for free! by simply clicking Media > Send as Gmail > Enter contact > Send, so I do not know why anyone would want to pay to do the exact same thing.
