apple Apple Set to Unveil New Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme 802.11N RoutersAccording to FEC papers, Apple is apparently set to introduce a new version of its Time Capsule wireless backup service, and also release an upgrade to its AirPort Extreme 802.11 routers. The new router supports faster N speeds, and is also backwards compatible with b/g devices. 802.11n will operate on the 5GHz frequency. As previously, two versions of Time Capsule should be available again with bigger hard drive space. No word on price or availability information. 1TB Time Capsule currently retails for about just under $400. So, if you are in the market for a router, perhaps you should wait a bit to get the newer more faster version.
