Photo sharing site Expono launches with rich features

Update: When asked what the company is working on, Expono told us “we are working on improving photo browsing (bigger better photos) and new ways users can explore public/friend photos.”

Expono (@expono) is a relatively new photo sharing website that recently went live with a slew of many extensive features you won’t find on the most popular media sharing sites such as Flickr.

Expono lets you upload, manage, geo-tag, backup, embed and share your photos with social media sites such as FriendFeed, Facebook, and Twitter.

If you want to share your photos via Facebook, you just follow the simple instructions to connect your FB account with Expono, then you’ll be able to easily share full photos across Facebook. You can also tag friends in photos.

You can also geo-tagged photos that will appear on a Google Map, you can also drop photos wherever you want and add comments.

Expono also features a fully featured activities stream letting you keep track of friend activity from an aggregation page.

The site also offers privacy management, allowing you to choose who can see and do what by creating groups or applying settings to individual contacts.

For complete information, check out Expono’s extensive feature set.

The company also has plans to develop a feature rich mobile version of the site. Flickr has already overhauled its mobile site as well.

Given intensifying competition between Flickr, Photobucket, among other photo sharing sites, Expono’s extensive feature list could prove to be too complicated and unnecessary as people mainly want a simple photo sharing experience.

The most basic and free Expono account includes 1GB of storage, 10GB of monthly bandwidth, one custom group, which is very good. Expono Plus premium accounts costs $45 and include 10GB of storage, 100GB bandwidth, and ten custom groups, among other exclusive features.

Expono is currently operated by a team of six, is based in Oslo, Norway, and is powered with cloud computing technologies.

Colon cancer is one of the leading causes of death. Irrespective of family history, everyone is exposed to the risk. About 90% of colon cancer cases begin from non-cancerous tumors, polyps, which could form in the large bowel. Screening with a colonoscopy will painlessly remove any polyps hence almost entirely reducing your risk of developing the horrible disease. The good news is that about 90% of colon cancer cases are preventable through a simple (yes, simple) colonoscopy.
